DALLAS - According to the Dallas Morning News--

A Texas pastor was caught in the act of stealing valuable items from a parishioner's home.  Police say the woman claimed that she was protecting the laptop and fur coats, not stealing them.

Co-founder of the Church of the Living God Sandy McGriff testified that she used poor judgment when she entered a church member's home through a broken window and removed the items.

McGriff faces charges of burglary of habitation and resisting arrest.  She posted a $26,000 bond and was released.

McGriff claims she saw two men outside the home and decided to check it out.  That's when she allegedly found the broken window.

When a neighbor called police, they found McGriff carrying two fur coats out of the home.

Okay so she goes in through a broken window?? Why not call the police in on this one, I wouldn't go in looking for anyone, what exactly was she going to do if she ran into someone robbing the place? Doesn't add up and I don't believe anyone is that foolish.

IF IT WALKS,LOOKS,ACTS AND QUACKS LIKE A DUCK...IT IS PROBABLY A DUCK......SAME WITH A THIEF....

eddam, I think you're the kind of naive, gullible parishioner "The Sandy McGriff Church of Personal Enrichment" needs. So go her bail already, willya?

Because there aren't too many unarmed women who would crawl through a broken window looking for burglars, and crawl out with furs and a laptop. Even law enforcement would go in armed.

Face it, the collection plate take just wasn't doing it for Ms. McGriff.

As for her reputation, have you ever known any holy rollers? Just wondering...

Perhaps we should ask if the two fur coats and the laptop were the most valuable items in the said parishioner's home. Here of course we need to carefully consider if the said items were the most valuable and could easily be carried through the window. We might also consider if McGriff is so poor that she would risk her reputation and job by stealing the said items.

I think that she merely wanted to protect a parishioner, although she employed poor judgment.
