Dallas police officer kills unarmed man; Put on administrative leave

DALLAS (AP) - A Dallas police officer has been placed on administrative leave after he shot and killed a man at an apartment comples.
Late Friday there were complaints of drugs sales and other crimes called into Dallas police. Sergeant Kenneth Chapin and Officer Matthew Tate were confronted by a man in a breezeway.
Tobias Arthur Mackey then placed his hands behind his back where they were not visible.
According to police reports, Mackey did not comply with the officer's instructions. He made a gestures resulting in Tate firing at Mackey. He later died from gunshot wounds.
No weapon was found on Mackey.
