Dallas woman jailed after accidental shooting

DALLAS (AP) - A 30-year-old Dallas woman is jailed on firearms charges after an 11-year-old boy got a shotgun from her closet and shot an 8-year-old playmate fatally in the face.
Stacy Maloney was booked into a Dallas County jail Wednesday with bonds totaling $101,000 in the Jan. 13 death of Keiveon Johnson.
She's charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, a third-degree felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, and making a firearm accessible to a child resulting in death, a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail.
The Dallas Morning News reports she was barred from having a gun because of a 2008 robbery conviction in Bryan County, for which she received seven years' probation.
Jail records list no attorney for Maloney.
