Lufkin — Angelina College students and other motorists using Daniel McCall Drive in South Lufkin will need to find an alternate route the next couple weeks.

City officials have announced that Daniel McCall Drive between Farm-to-Market Road 819 and Whitehouse Drive will be closed to through traffic from April 19 through May 3.

“In that area, the college is building a mall area or a crossing through that street,” said Lufkin City Engineer Chuck Walker.
