DD Ranch = El Chico Ranch

TYLER — What was once called the Double D Ranch and brought a summer full of scantily clad controversy to East Texas will now be called, tentatively anyway, the "El Chico Ranch."
Bill Watson with Consolidated Restaurant Operations, the parent company of DD's and El Chico, tells KETK, the intent is to put 100 people to work - people who have been patiently waiting for Double D's to open...it will now open on September 13.
As far as the name Double D Ranch goes...right now, the company is simply calling it..."The restaurant that can't be named."
They believe operating under the name El Chico Ranch is in full compliance with the Toys "R" Us injunction.
But don't expect to be having chips and salsa there. Watson says the menu will be Texas comfort food and cold beer.
The controversial uniforms are yet to be determined.
Watson also tells KETK, even though they will be operating under the name El Chico Ranch, he says they quote "intend to pursue" their legal rights.
The DD's trial is set for November 28th.
