(KETK) - Tyler Tx — The biggest hunting season of the year is almost here.
For hunters who like to use a rifle, the day marked on their calendar is November 2nd.
Hunters, as you head out this year, pat yourself on the back!
You've given a big boost to our state's economy.
Nationally, Texas is at the top of the pack, on hunting and fishing alone: we spend 6.6 billion dollars a year.
You can buy your hunting license at Gander Mountain, or other sporting goods stores in the area if you haven't done that so far.
And general manager Randy Smiley says they are still recovering from the ammo shortage from last year, but their should be enough to go around for deer season.
