According to NBCDFW, former Dallas Cowboys superstar and NFL Hall of Famer, Deion Sanders, has been reinstated at Prime Prep Academy, the charter school he co-founded in Fort Worth.

The academy posted a press release to their website, Friday, stating Sanders was relieved of his duties at PPA after allegations of abuse my an employee of the school.

The full statement can be read below:

"On behalf of the board of directors of Uplift Fort Worth, CDC, the governing body for Prime Prep Academy, I write in support of the decision to end the relationship between Prime Prep Academy and Mr. Deion Sanders.

It is commonly known that Mr. Sanders is a co-founder and has served as an ambassador and employee of the school since its establishment. His positive contribution is appreciated and regarded as a laudable example. The school family wishes Mr. Sanders much success in his future endeavors.

Since its beginning, Prime Prep Academy has sought to provide exemplary education in urban communities. The school management is strong and experienced, and started the school year by setting impressive goals for academic, extra-curricular, and values-based development. There has been very hard work and already there are very exciting accomplishments at our schools.

The board of directors maintains complete confidence in the direction and management of Prime Prep Academy. The momentum and positive direction of the schools will continue in Mr. Sanders' absence. The Dallas-Fort Worth communities can continue to rely on Prime Prep Academy as a beacon for excellence in education for Texas youth."

Later, Friday afternoon prior to PPA's homecoming game, co-founder, D.L. Wallace, said the release posted on the website lacked "clarity," NBCDFW says Sanders' original agreement was rescinded in favor of expanding the Hall of Famer's administrative role.

Sanders has been accused by PPA employee, Kevin Jefferson, of grabbing him by the throat and pushed him to the ground during a faculty meeting.

Reports claim Sanders was upset about the poor classroom performance by some athletes and financial impropriety, which Sanders commented about when speaking to NBCDFW:
