Derek Holland has signed a new five-year contract with the Rangers for $28.5 million.

The lefty won 12 of his last 13 starts last season.

He shut down the Cardinals in Game 4 of the World Series.

He is 25-years-old and he was drafted in the 25th round six years ago.
