This afternoon, Dewhurst held a special meet and greet at Ricks on the Square in Tyler.

And he brought a friend...Michael reagan, the adopted son of...none other than President Ronald Reagan.

A popular argument at last night's debate was that David Dewhurst was more of a moderate than a conservative.

We asked both Dewhurst and Reagan what they think of the accusations.

"I am the most fiscally conservative Lieutenant Governor in Texas history.  Governor Rick Perry and I have the identical, same record.  I passed his record, he signed what I passed," Dewhurst said.

"Would the Republican party...some of the Republican party today nominate a union leader to be their presidential nominee?  The answer's no.  But Ronald Reagan was a union leader of the Screen Actors Guild and the greatest President of our lifetime.  We need to start uniting behind candidates instead of trying to divide a party and win nothing," Reagan said.

And just for the heck of it, we asked Michael Reagan since his father is the gold standard for conservatives...would he ever consider running for office?

He said he wouldn't consider running for anything...because being a part of the family and having the secret service along takes enough of your time that it makes you not want to go any further with that life.
