Isn't a civil union what we now know as common-law marriage based on two people living together in a sexual relationship for a certain length of time. Usually applied to opposite-sex partners.
I could not care less what homosexuals do with,to,and for each other in the privacy of their personal lives.
I highly resent and am thoroughly offended that they want to make me complicit in their actions by making their relationship part of the legal system by which I am governed.
If they are not satisfied with being left alone; then I am not satisfied with being included in their deviant and perverted lifestyles!!!
"Civil Unions" and "same-sex marriages" its basically the same thing, why not let them do either one? I have several friends that are gay and lesbians, they are no different then me and my husband except they are with the same sex. They abid by the law, they pay their taxes, and with the same partner they are helping to prevent the spread of Aids. It amazes me to see so many "God fearing Christians" who are so quick to pass judgment. Not me or anyone else has the right to pass judgment because on Judgement Day, we are all going to get judged and they will get a far greater judgment than I could ever give them..
As a christian, one should love the sinner but hate the sin. A man being with a man and women being with a women is not right or normal.
