What about when they want to wear the burka? Al Qaeda likes the burkas because you can hide all those explosives and your identity underneath. Separation of church and state so in a courtroom they should follow the rules.

Everyone should obey the laws of our country. Yes head scarf should be removed and face shown.

You hit the nail on the head Miles !!! I hope that these hypocrites have enough sense to ask for forgiveness. Some of these Muslims are American citizens and were made to feel left out by the hypocrite Christens. The Muslims accepted these lost soles when these so called Christens turned their noses up at them. The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion in the United States and is not limited to people of middle eastern decent. It just goes to show that a lot of the people in the United States, Texas and of the Christen faith are truly ignorant of both the Christen faith and the Muslim faith.

Most of the callers demonstrate the inability of many Americans to utilize critical thinking skills...in this case hold and analyze two principles in their head at the same time: judge's rules vs religious freedom.

For a Muslim woman to wear a head covering isn't a custom, it is a religious requirement. We can't have religious freedom in this country if we are going to pick and choose what religion or religious beliefs we allow. I could understand if it was a ball cap but if it is a requirement of her religion to do it then some consideration should be taken into account. I also feel that if a judge or someone is that scared then maybe it is time they step down.

Of course not. This is America - freedom of religion!

Next, the crosses and stars people have around their necks could be a 'security risk' since they can be thrown like a Japanese shuriken!

These people go through metal detectors- that's the end of the "security risk" right there.

If you are worried about risky headgear, how do these terrified judges deal with these things called "pockes" and "socks"?

We are no longer the home of the free, it seems, but home to the panicky whiners who don't like folks that are different.

If wearing a hat or head cover in court is against the judges rules then waht does it matter what faith you are, quit whining and just follow the rules of our country. Whats next just because someone else doesn't like it we will have to start saying Happy holiday instead of merry Christmas oh what that already happened see what happens.

These people are in AMERICA. We have laws and standards. Headgear that these women wear could be a security risk. If they do not want to observe respect for our courtrooms, then the Airport is that way, thank you.
