Tyler—
Do you think law enforcment officers should be forced to hide or cover-up any tattoos?

SHOULD BE MORE WORRIED ABOUT HIRED PEOPLE WITH THE KNOWLEDGE TO DO A JOB, AND PEOPLE THAT HAVE A PASSION TO DO THE JOB OF A POLICE OFFICE,BECAUSE THEY ARE ALREADY UNDER PAID FOR THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDE,WHY TAKE AWAY ANYMORE OF THEY RIGHTS AS A AMERICAN.LETS FOCUS ON THE REAL PROBLEMS.

2 months agoAll it is is DISCRIMINATION and another UNIMPORTANT thing to complain about. What happened to FREEDOM and Freedom of expression is that not part of our constitional right is it not. Tattoos do not affect how one performs their job. A person is hired for thir skills to do the job not the tattoo. Tattoos can be covered up if their is a policy but lets not jump on a tattoo discrimination band wagon. As Americans I think we are better than that.

7 months agoI can't see where taking a shovel and digging a ditch makes you look stupid whether you have a tatoo or not. Monkeybone obviously has never had to do any manual labor. Monkeybone, now that's stupid.

8 months agoMonkey bone's comment is stupid. You cannot "wear" a tattoo. It sometimes is a judgment bad nor good made at an earlier time in life. The public is who is the main concern and "tattoos" should not be a judge of ones character. Departments policy is set in place for reasons.

8 months agoi'm not concerned about the tattoos. they don't stop them from doing their job as a police officer. chances are the the department knew they were there when they hired the officer. they didn't hire the tattoos, they hired the person because he or she was best qualified for the job. as long as they do their job professionally, what's the problem?

8 months agoThe Police have enough to do than to worry about their tattoos. Find something else to talk about like saving our right to carry concealed weapons to other states. The criminals are the ones that are the problem not a person licensed.

8 months agoI am not concerned about the tatoos as much as watching a cop sit in a auto dealership talking to a female employee at that location for an hour. I went to have my vehicle worked on and had to wait . On the way in I noticed the cop car running and when I left it was still running unattended. Tyler P.D. is hiring to put more cops on the street, but when they just visit for a long lenght of time who are they helping

8 months agoI think cops that should be fired that wear tattoos. Cops want that image of looking stupid then give them a shovel and let them dig ditches. And stay put of public relations. As a judge if a cop show up wearing a tattoo I would dismiss the case and throw them in jail for contempt. The police chief here needs to follow suit. And the first time I heard someone to complain about it I would fire them.

8 months agoIn full agreement with Cleveland. Gov't wants control over everything......some is just down right stupid.
I have yet to see a police officer who is brandishing them.
People seem to be looking for "something" to be offended by
