Racism against whites and I've-had-it-worse-than-you-because-i'm-a-poor-black-person ignorance is the greatest problem facing this country.

I can't count the number of times I've been told I had it made and was born with a silver spoon in my mouth because I am white and everyone else was entitled to my property because I obtained it from my white ancestors profiting off the exploitation of minorities through institutional slavery hundreds of years ago.

My background rivals any "ghetto" thug from the streets. I grew up poor and living in poverty. I once lived in my car for several months and did alcohol, marijuana, and many other drugs, basically all the major ones. I have been in situations that could be turned into action movies and it would be more shocking than half of what Hollywood puts out. I also have a form of autism and many other problems I deal with. Needless to say I am disadvantaged.

So in college now, after getting my life straightened out, I learn that my dream of going to medical school is shattered because of the circumstances of my birth. They call it URM, underrepresented minorities and they do in fact get preferential admission status in med, law, business, or any graduate school.

This is the most insulting and offensive thing I think I could ever experience that despite autism, despite a background of poverty, despite overcoming extraordinary odds, panhandling on the street with little more than 50 cents in my pocket, institutional discrimination against me, and propaganda saying how blessed I am to white, after all that, now having made achievements and on the verge of completing college my life dream means nothing because "no one can understand the pain a black man feels when the taximan passes him up because he could be a robber and the taxi driver's a racist" and "you were born white, count your blessings" attitudes.

My life is the epitome of disadvantaged status and discrimination and now in college I must tolerate those who believe that somehow I have not made sacrifices or put forth effort, it was all the product of some white men 150 years ago I've never met?

That I should listen to homosexuals cry over gay marriage but ignore the mentally ill who are arbitrarily denied marriage rights because they may not understand exactly what they're doing?

That I should sacrifice my dreams by virtue of me supposedly being born at the top of the totem pole and give others a chance?

I should listen to blacks complain that this is a racist town after Byron Truvia kills his white teacher, the ombudsman comes down from DC and all they want to talk about is racist whites?

It is no shocker to anyone who has been around as long as I have. Whites have largely moved past their racial past. The greatest threat to society now is unskilled, uneducated, unqualified minorities who think somehow they are entitled to anything they have not worked for, the guys with chips on their shoulders who spit in your face calling you cracker or honkey because his ancestors may or may not have been slaves, idiots like Bishop Guillory who complain that murderers like Truvia might possibly be convicted, and the endless string of fatalities and violence against white men, rapes against white women, molestations of white children, and acts of terrorism against white families that largely go unreported in the news media are the greatest crisis facing this nation and should not shock the minorities in any way that we are tired of their neanderthal cavemen behavior. They are the most violent, ignorant, disgusting, pathetic wastes of skin on the face of the planet and how dare a white man say such a thing? How dare I? I who walk outside with fear of violence against me, I who cannot defend my family taking a walk in the park from these beasts?

100 executions a year is not enough for these people. Texas, the death penalty state needs to step up and say if you come into this country illegally 2 times you will be executed and immunity will be given to border patrol who kill you as you cross the river. Minorities who commit hate crimes against whites should be executed in all cases. Anyone who molests a child should be executed in the most vicious ways, lethal injection is the easy way out. Only when we get tough on these monsters will they finally crawl back into their mudhuts back in their so "advanced" continent of Africa and South America. We must do this now and elect strong men who will punish these criminals.

When you were born, you were not told that life is fair. Cause it is not. But, to feel like YOU are owed something because it was only "fair" is stupid. Life is not "T" ball. That is the problem school's are teaching kids. No matter how many times a child may fail, they keep getting another chance. Tha't dumb. In the real world, IF you don't perform, you get fired.
You are not "special". Iona doesn't get it
and Ryan is correct.
You are judged on merit, or should be. Skin color should not play a part. The ACLU
has done a fine job of messing things up.
several colleges are all one race, should the other race scream? Hence,we have Obama in the W.H.some think because of this there will be a nice home and cadillac in the driveway...ain't gonna happen. He actually played the race card to get elected.Promise anything, just to get there
Wake up people.Get over your color problem

Reverse discrimination is a serious problem. It undermines the struggle for equality. It causes and justifies resentment against minorities by people that were previously not inclined to feel that way and hate groups. No person or group has the right to discriminate against others or expect special treatment either. People should never use their minority status to justify poor behavior, work performance, failures, or just plain laziness, they should take responsibility for their actions and lives.

I'm a Hispanic woman who has experienced racial and gender discrimination. I earned and paid for my education and job. I took the same exams as everyone else.
I was a supervisor at a large institution for several years where I witnessed African American employees claim discrimination in order to abuse work policies, coworkers and management. White, Hispanic, hetero and homosexual workers endured harassment, discrimination and substandard work by the perpetrators. If a non-black employee made any racial slurs or performed their job poorly they were immediately reprimanded and or terminated. Upper management for fear of a lawsuit did not take corrective action against the non-white employees, they recieved promotions, vacation days and raises they were not qualified for or entitled to recieve. I bless the day I left and have zero tolerance for people who abuse their minority status and discriminate against others.

yes i think it is worse now then ever mostly against white males. I seen a women pass her nursing exam with all A's and a high rank in the class and the job that was open we all thought would be hers, but no another women with like a D average got the job cause she was on welfare.

Yes, reverse discrimination is a big problem in this country. African-Americans are also guilty of discrimination toward Caucasians. I have the proof that I have been selected for promotion only to have EEO change it. I should have sued.

No, because everyone deserves a fair share of the American dream. Why should some people be handed the dream simply because they are white, and others have to break their backs for the same opportunities that the constitution says is a right to them.

'A fair share of the American dream'. Like Affirmative Action? That kind of fair?

I am a white male american born and bred, I am 52 years old I served 4 yrs. in the us navy to help guarntee every american the rights afforded them, and I am here to tell you nobody and I mean nobody has ever handed me anything that resembles an american dream. The constitution does not guarntee us a piece of any pie in the sky it only says if you want it you are free to go after it and no one can stop you. I am a hard working person and believe me I have earned ( ever heard of that? ) everything I haveever recieved in my life. No document that our founders ever penned promises us anything for free except life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. There has never been a document in american history that promised us entitlements of any kind, only corrupt polititians have ever promised anything for free in exchange for a vote. If you take from me what I have legitamitely earned from the sweat of my brow and give it to someone else that is nothing more than robbing me and depriving me of the very rights that you speak of.

There is a massive problem here in the United States with reverse discrimination, especially in the universities.
