That doesn’t always mean going to the gym, it can be something as simple as going for a walk with your dog. We had a great turn-out for this event last year, and we hope to see lots of people and their pets again this year.”
Several other organizations also plan to participate in the event including booths for PetCo, the Longview Kennel Club, and more. The Humane Society of Northeast Texas also will be on site during the event conducting microchipping for only $15 as well as providing information about pet adoptions.
Event organizers encourage participants to follow the rules for the event. All dogs must be on a leash at all time. Rabies vaccinations must be current on event day. Female dogs in heat are not allowed to participate. Aggressive and unruly dogs or people will be disqualified by race officials. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
