Tyler, Texas (KETK) — UPDATE: Nickolas has been adopted, according to a Human Society official. Thank you for all your help, East Texas!
A KETK viewer who lives south of Nacogdoches has adopted Nickolas. The woman called her daughter, who lives in Longview, to bring him to her. The new owner said he she has a larg fenced yard where he can run around! The family is already in love with their new family member.
The shelter said another KETK viewer paid all of Nickolas adoption fees.
Original Report: According to the The Humane Society of Northeast Texas, a dog who was treated in Tyler for an embedded collar is in danger of being euthanized after not being fostered or adopted.
The shelter is full due to the storms from Monday night and Nickolas has yet to be adopted or fostered to keep him out of the shelter. Nickolas is in desperate need of a home with a submissive female counterpart, or a home with no other dogs. He is great with older, respectful children.
Nickolas was scheduled to be euthanized at noon Tuesday, but after a call from KETK, the euthanization was put on hold until 8:00 a.m., Wednesday morning.
If you can help Nick, please call (903) 297-2170 or if it is after 6:00 p.m., immediately e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. This is his last chance.
