Bullard, tx — Just before 3:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, a small plane crash landed into a Bullard, Texas neighborhood known as Cumberland Ridge. The pilot was killed on impact, and has been identified as Stephen Annis, a 51-year old white male, from Huntsville.
Eyewitnesses at the scene say they saw the plane flying uncontrollably over the area, before "corkscrewing" straight down into the neighborhood roadway, directly in front of a house.
Wreckage from the plane could be found miles away from the crash site.

The neighborhood is located adjacent Lake Palestine and is a highly wooded area, yet the plane barely skimmed any of the surrounding trees.
When authorities made it to the scene, they were not able to remove the pilot from the aircraft, due to the cockpit being crushed in nose dive impact.
The FAA out of Rockwall, Texas is currently investigating the scene and tracing the plane's flight plan.
Although the neighborhood is highly populated, no houses were damaged and no other people were injured.
