DPS raid extracts almost 700 marijuana plants
Tyler, Texas(KETK) — DPS received an anonymous tip earlier this week about a potential marijuana field.
After looking into the information, DPS used air assets to search and pinpoint the exact location. They quickly called in other partners, such as Smith County Sheriff, Tyler Police Department, and the District Attorney’s office to help with the find.
Beginning in the early morning hours, several police armors in armored trucks pulled on the property believed to contain the marijuana field. Several hours later, police left the property after extracting almost 700 individual, mature marijuana plants.
They marijuana field was growing over multiple properties. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
