The Tyler Public Library has a perfect solution for area residents of all ages who are looking for another place to wear a costume this October.

“Dressed to Read” encourages costumed characters of all ages to visit the Library anytime between Oct. 24 and Oct. 31 and receive a free book of their choice from the Library Book Nook.

“We are excited to offer this annual event again.

The children love having multiple opportunities to wear their costumes, and wearing them to the library can remind patrons that we can be a fun and educational place at the same time,” says Youth Services Librarian Linda Gray. “Ownership of a book is a big part of encouraging reading too. We love sharing literacy in a variety of ways.”

For more information on these and other Tyler Library events please go to www.TylerLibrary.com or call (903) 593-7323. The Tyler Public Library is located at 201 S. College Ave. in downtown Tyler.
