TYLER — People attacking drive-thru workers over chicken nuggets, coffee, french fries ... you name it.
And it's happening everywhere across the country, leaving the question... what in the world is going on?
Less than a week ago, at a Miami Burger King... when one woman didn't get it "her" way... surveilance video caught her leaping the counter, throwing her food and a hot beverage at an employee.
The woman told police she was convinced someone spit inside her breakfast sandwhich while in the drive through.
The woman was arrested and charged with assault and battery.
Stephen Westmoreland, a mental health counselor, says this kind of behavior is getting worse each year.
In February, at a Denny's restaurant in Massachusetts... "gram slam" took on a whole new meaning, as a huge group fight broke out over syrup.
Westmoreland says it's a lack of respect for others that causes people to lash out.
And then who could forget this, infamous video of a Toledo, Ohio woman nearly climbing through and breaking a mcdonalds drive through window, when an employee refused to serve her chicken mcnuggets during breakfast hours.
It just goes to prove what the experts know ... some people are just well... plain ole' crazy.
