I am glad the driver was not seriously injured in this wreck. She was definitely one of the lucky ones. Good grief people in Tyler can not drive on dry streets let alone wet streets. People need to slow down when it is raining. Use a little common sense and you will get to where you need to be safely.

It is important to remember that what is put on the television is not always the truth. This person was not speeding. If you look through the last few months this curve has had several accidents. In fact the telephone pole that was hit has been replaced 3 times in the last 6 months. There is a traffic study being done on the stretch of road. It is really easy to point the finger and say people do not know how to drive but the simple fact is even when you slow down on the curve there is a chance you will go off the road.

I don't see where anyone said the driver was speeding. They say she was "GOING TOO FAST". Depending on the conditions 35 mph may be too fast even in a 55 mph zone. The key is to slow down on wet roads. As the other person said " use common sense".
