Drug Raid Lands 3 In Jail

TYLER - We have a developing story to share with you out of Tyler.

Tyler Police tell us a drug raid landed three people, including a former and one current smith county employee, behind bars.

They are, 29-year old Shanikwa Johnson, 44-year-old LC Rainey, Junior, and 34-year-old Timothy Rainey.

Police say, all three were arrested on different felony charges ranging from possession, to abandonment and endangering children.

A swat and narcotics team raided Johnson's house last Thursday along the 65-hundred block of Rockwood Drive in Tyler.

Inside, authorities found drugs, including— crack cocaine, meth and marijuana.

Officials also seized property, and found four kids.

Tyler Police Officer Don Martin says, "There were children in the residence at the time. CPS was notified. The kids were taken into custody, pending further investigation."

Police tell us, L.C. Rainey is a current Smith County employee.

And, Shanikwa Johnson is a former jailer.

Police say, more arrests associated with the raid— will take place.
