Early morning fire destroys Lindale home

A house is destroyed in Lindale early Saturday morning.

It happened around 12:40 a.m. on County Road 4104 in Lindale.

Lindale Fire officials tell KETK that five people were inside the house at the time of the fire.

Fortunately, all five escaped without injury.

Several animals died in the fire.

Lindale Fire Captain, Bobby Wallert, tells KETK that nine dogs died in the fire.

"About six to eight of them are puppies, two chickens, two chinchillas..." said Wallert.

Fire fighters were able to rescue two cats and a snake from the fire.

 The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.
