TYLER - One big issue on the ballot in Smith County is the $125 million school bond proposal.
Plans call for upgrades at five elementary schools: Clarkston, Griffin, Jones, Orr, and Woods.
It will all come at a price tag for taxpayers. The cost will be $125 million.
Phase One of the bond issue passed four years ago.
Members of a pro-school bond committee say they hope the state of the economy will not sway voters to go “against” the bond.
