Four years ago, Michael Wacha was pitching for Pleasant Grove High School in Texarkana.

Tonight, he'll be the starting pitcher for the Saint Louis Cardinals in the World Series.

Pregame begins on FOX 51 at 6:30.  First pitch will be at 7:07.

Wacha used to pitch for Texas A&M.

The rookie has been unhittable lately.

He eliminated the Dodgers last Friday.  Wacha was named the National League Championship Series Most Valuable Player.

He almost threw a no-hitter in the closing days of the regular season.

Sounds like a great kid. Hope he does well. I will be hoping he does a good job but, not good enough to beat the Boston Red Sox. I am a long-time fan and would like to see them go all the way. The Boston Red Sox are playing in honor of those killed & the recovering seriously wounded from the Boston Marathon bombing last April. They are two great teams - may the best one win! Go Sox!
