Tyler , TX (KETK) — Santa Claus may have made his list and checked it twice, but some East Texans weren't quite as prepared. Some spent their Christmas Eve rushing to get all their last minute shopping done. "I've got a lot of stuff to do today, i mean i haven't done anything," said one East Texan.
Shoppers were buying everything from gifts for Grandma, to groceries for that delicious Christmas dinner. The shopping carts were stacked high with holiday hams and stocking stuffers.
East Texans were braving the cold weather, crowded stores, and full parking lots. KETK asked one local how bad it was shopping, and they said, " on a scale from 1 to 10, about a 12...the lines weren't very long, but getting through the isles is a bit of a chore."
However, some were surprised about the crowds, and said it wasn't as bad as expected.
