The number of store visits dropped this year across the country, and big retailers are doing everything they can to sale their products. Even though Kohls in Tyler had a good year, they are still offering big deals to get rid of any Christmas items left on the shelves.  "This is kind of the best time to off load that stuff cause you're not going to carry it for another year, whatever the case may be," said Kohls store manager, Allen Ham.

Everything from Christmas trees and ornaments to wrapping paper, shoppers are grabbing what they can before its all gone.  East Texans were loving the deals.  "These are fantastic sales...unbelievable."  "The Christmas stuff, it goes fast because it's a great buy."

One charity organization is also taking advantage of the sales too.  "Every chance i get to get a discount on toys and everything like that, i take," said Toys for Tots coordinator Larry Adkins.

Adkins is already preparing for next year, and stocking up on toys for kids in east Texas, and he says this is one of the best times of the year to find deals.  "I'm kind of a scrooge, i like to get the best bang for my buck, so i have more toys for the kids next year," said Adkins.
