According to our newspartner the Longview News-Journal, many people came to honor Longview police officer Jamie "Ellyn" Goodan Thursday.

"The 38-year-old was found in her Towne Oaks apartment dead of a gunshot wound to the head," the paper reported.  When police arrived at the house, Goodan's husband, Harry, said he had killed her.

Mr. Goodan has since been charged with his wife's murder.
