TYLER - The Tyler Area Home Buildiers Association Home Products Show 2011 started Friday and it's wrapping up today.

Vendors from all over the Piney Woods came to Harvey Hall to show off their newest ideas.

Outdoor water features, gutter systems, appliances, and granite are just a few things you could find at the show.

"Window World" even had their own chopper there built by the man himself - Paul Sr. from Orange County Choppers.

Another popular theme was renewable energy - everything from solar panel systems to energy efficient skylights.

Join us tonight at 10 to hear from some of the vendors themselves.

Speaking of home building--I just learned of panelization. That is building a home in a factory off-site in panels, shipping them flat, and assembling them. Looks just like and is built better than a regular 'stick built' home. I thought you could only get 'kits' this way, but no, you can take ANY plans to a panel company and they'll build it. Building this way is 'green' and a whole lot less expensive!
