They say Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year, but 'hello' after Christmas shopping.

Experts say, the day after Christmas is one of the busiest days of the year.

"Best shopping day is right after Christmas," says Geoffrey Scarling, Asset Protection Lead at Best Buy.

People are shopping for deals and returns.

"Well just heard there are some good bargains," says Joe Vargas, Tyler resident.

"We just wanted to get some Christmas bargains for next year, some more Christmas lights and wrapping paper," says Charlene Forrester, Tyler Resident.

"Great time to shop, you save money and with this economy you got to save all the money you can," says Lauren Kirkpatrick, after Christmas shopper.

You might be thinking you're getting the perfect present.

National Retail Federation reports, more than 30% of people will return a portion of their holiday gifts.

"Returns are going to be one of the big things these next couple of days, everybody is trying to return and get store credit or exchange and get another item that they want," says Geoffrey Scarling, Asset Protection Lead at Best Buy.

And with the money you're getting back, people are getting the deals.

"After everybody gets done with their big shopping, Black Friday shopping, the real good deals come in right the Christmas and does every single year," says Geoffrey Scarling, Asset Protection Lead at Best Buy.

Scarling at best buy tells KETK, phones are the hot item after Christmas, and experts say,  more than 60% included a gift receipt with the present.

Keep in mind, all retailers have a different return policy. Do your research so when you check-out you'll get your gift and won't be disappointed.
