Seeing obliterated houses and buildings in Moore Oklahoma was a call to action for locals to help.

Carl Shine from Wagner Cadillac in Tyler says, "We're collecting any kind of items they may need."

Wagner Cadillac, and both Gabriel Jordan dealerships in Kilgore and Henderson are accepting supplies, like water and food, and they will spend their Memorial holiday weekend by taking a personal trip to Moore, OK.

Shine says, "Anybody can bring anything they want to donate and we're going to take it to them on Saturday."

Today, from 3 P.M. to close various East Texas eateries will donate 15% of their sales to the Red Cross relief efforts for Moore.

Tammy Prater, Executive Director of the Red Cross of East Texas says, "All of the lonestar restaurants in Tyler and Longview, that's Jersey Mikes, Smash burger, Rusty Taco, Wing stop and TCBY"

Local businesses say they are more than happy to help, because some day they may return the favor.

Shine says, "We're feeling sorry for those folks, and we want to reach out to them, and we know that people would reach out to us if we needed something like that, so we are very much a company that wants to give back to our community and that's why we are doing it."
