East Texas Congressman comment on President Obama's Speech
Both Gohmert and Hensarling were in the audience of last night's address to Congress
Tyler—
Congressman representing East Texas were in the audience for last night's presidential speech.
One of five people on that TARP panel of financial services is Representative Jeb Hensarling.
The Congressman spoke with KETK News and offered his reaction to the President's words.
Henserling says; he along, with other Republicans...believe the federal government is throwing money at the problem to fix it.
At the same time...he thought President Obama's speech was inspiring.
Hensraling said; "There were many policies I disagree on.. but at least he understands all Americans are willing to work together to do the right thing."
Representative Louis Gohmert released a statement shortly after the speech saying the American people needed some encouragement and President Obama did that by "sounding Presidential."
Gohmert said the President's speech as well as Chairman Ben Bernanke's testimony in front of the Senate could help the economy.
Gohmert said, "I'm hoping people speak to each other tomorrow in terms of why don't we go look at the showroom and go look at cars....and maybe they'll say why don't we drive around and look at homes and get us moving in the right direction."
The Congressman also noted the President's stance on fixing social security for our young people.

Ugh sir,
we don't want someone that sounds Presidential, we want someone that is Presidential, the same goes for you and your seat! What is this country coming to?
Lord help us! BJR
