Longview, TX — First responders from across East Texas will test their skills this week in a three day, full-scale disaster simulation in Longview.

Starting 7 a.m. today, “disasters” will start popping up across the area, including scenarios of a tornado touching down in various parts of Longview; a collapse at the former Stroh’s Brewery in the 1400 block of West Cotton Street; a gunman at the old Foster Middle School on Green Street; an “officer-down” emergency in Gladewater; and search-and-rescue tests at the former Colonial Apartments on Judson Road and Swinging Bridge Water Treatment facility.
