Once a month, they invite local East Texans to come to their meeting and pitch their business ideas.
"What we wanna do is be a focal point for helping entrepreneurs reach the state they want to reach," said Obousy.
Whether starting from the ground up or honing business plans, they help cultivate opportunities in the East Texas community.
"We want to help work with the entrepreneurs craft their pitch, develop their business plan and put them in a position where they could interest investors."
Natasha Harrell plans to start a business geared toward helping teenagers manage their finances independently.
"Not only being mentored by the East Texas Entrepreneur Group, but being able to mentor the younger kids as well, that is what I am really focusing on right now."
