Jacksonville, Texas (KETK) — Talent trailed into Rancho Grande Mexican Restaurant in Jacksonville on Sunday to try and land a spot in the local film 'Caballero'.
"We've shot this film in Jacksonville, Nacogdoches, Tyler, Diboll and Lufkin," says Gabriel Carmona, Artist, of Jacksonville.
The movie is about a deadly pursuit of the American Dream as a lone hero continues his journey of survival against murderous villains.
'Caballero' is produced and directed by 40-year-old East Texan Gabriel Carmona and 23 -year-old Branden Selman.
"I'm looking for people who are interested in the crew side of film making," says Branden Selman, Artist.
They are also looking for fresh talent for on-screen.
"We prefer to work with people who don't have experience," says Carmona.
Carmona and Selman tell KETK, they want home grown talent to be apart of their home-made films.
They've produced more than 10 films and their work has been shown at the Tyler Film Festival.
Carmona and Selman say, local businesses have been generous by supporting their work.
"A lot of the people who let us shoot in their places and that's all we need, we just need a little bit of time," says Carmona.
The film makers are thankful saying film making is costly and because of local support they wouldn't be able to pursue their dream.
