Despite the clouds and the cool air, car guys like Bryan Walding brought their pride and joys to Christian Brothers Automotive on Broadway in Tyler to help the East Texas Food Bank.

Walding owns Lindale Kwik Kar...he brought his 1976 Chevy Manza.

Sound familiar?  Probably not...Walding says there aren't too many Manza's on the road!

"I didn't realize how few there were until I got it and started drag racing it never see one at the track," Walding said.

Walding enjoys doing something he loves for a good cause.

"I just like helping trying to get money and food for the food bank.  I think it's a great thing to do for the community," Walding said.

Dennis Cullinane with the East Texas Food Bank tells KETK the proceeds from the car show go to hungry East Texans.

And it's not just a car's also a food drive.

"Canned tuna and peanut butter particularly are what we really, really need.  I understand if you bring 20 items...that you'd be entered into a drawing for $100," Cullinane said.

Cullinane says the need for the East Texas Food Bank is great.

"Hunger's a real problem here in East Texas.  And the economy, even though we're turning around a little bit, there's some of our neighbors that are still in trouble, still trying to find jobs and are in a transition period.  So we're here to support the local pantries and organizations that actually feed their communities," Walding said.

Saturday's car show lasted from 9 in the morning until around 2.
