He's gone from Hudson to San Francisco

San Francisco — Brandon Belt was born in Nacogdoches.

He went to Hudson High School near Lufkin.

He played college ball for the Texas Longhorns.

Thursday night he was the starting first baseman for the defending World Series champion San Francisco Giants.

He got an infield single in his first Major League at bat.

Belt is just 22-years-old.
