An East Texas pilot had a rough landing Thursday morning but was not believed to be seriously injured in the incident.

The pilot, Kenneth Johnson, 78, Lindale was transported to East Texas Medical Center Hospital in Quitman after complaining of neck and back pain.

A Federal Aviation Administration representative left Wisener Field Airport around 1 p.m. after being notified of the incident that occurred at about 8 a.m. Thursday.
