LUFKIN-- A U.S. Postal Service spokesman says after a 90-day study, outgoing mail from the Lufkin area may bypass a processing plant there and be sent to tyler to be processed.

He says no one will lose their jobs at the plant because they will shift around employees.

U.S. Congressman Louie Gohmert says he received a letter from U.S. Postal Service telling him of the idea.  The letter stated that it would be "fiscally irresponsible" not to consolidate with Tyler. ]

Gohmert says he thinks their minds are already made up.
