East Texas 'Pump Jacks' job fair

KILGORE — The East Texas Pump Jacks are about to begin their season in June.
And if you know how to smile, they want your help.
Mike Lieberman, the general manager and co-owner of the East Texas Pump Jacks tells KETK, East Texans lined up on Sunday to get their hands on a summer job with a baseball team.
"The staff is the lifeblood of our team. What happens on the field is wonderful. It's the reason we all come together, but as anybody who has ever been to a restaurant that's had great service, you know what that experience is like and you also know what it's like when you have a great meal but the service is bad," Lieberman said.
Lieberman tells KETK, the Pump Jacks are looking for East Texans to fill jobs anywhere from selling hot dogs to public relations.
"We're always looking for people who are energetic, excited, and enthusiastic about working, cause everybody has a 9 to 5 and then you show up at the ballpark and you get to escape for a little while. And our staff is basically that group of people that helps you escape, helps you get away for those 2 or 3 hours at the ballpark," Lieberman said.
Lieberman says the job fair will continue tomorrow at the Chamber of Commerce in Kilgore from 5 to 8 pm.
