East Texas Top Shot

His name is Dustin Ellerman.

He runs a Christian Summer Camp near Zavalla, Texas.

And he wanted to be on the History Channel’s premier shooting competition Top Shot.

And his tape was, uh, impressive.

As has been his performance on the show. Especially considering his less than extensive shooting background. But the cast is not the normal crowd you’d find in a church pew.

For Dustin though, his love of shooting is second only to his faith, and you take those opportunities where you find them.

Oh, and one more thing, against a group composed of cops, ex-military, Navy Seals, Homeland Security agents and professional shooters, he won.

And the hometown crowd at a viewing party in Lufkin went wild.

But for Dustin, it simply gives him one more platform for his primary love, spreading the word.
