East Texans found multiple issues while driving the roads this afternoon and early this evening.

Tree limbs and branches had fallen into the roads and caused traffic problems as well as many power outages.

As of right now Oncor tells KETK that over 16,500 people are without power in the Tyler and Jacksonville areas. At the moment the towns of Lufkin and Nacogdoches should be expecting storms and to anticipate power outages in that area.

Highway 110 South in Tyler has been shut down due to power lines being down.

The Shreveport National Weather Service office has also advised Texans to steer clear of county roads. Drivers have been reported to run into trees that are in the road.

KETK will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
