We usually hear of teens and adults dealing with eating disorders but now the little ones are dealing with the issue.

Words like fat, chubby, and even too many nice compliments such as perfect can make some kids stop eating.

Eating disorders are on the rise among kids they're developing anorexia or bulimia even as young as three years old.

A Clinical Dietitian at Trinity Mother Frances tells KETK, parents need to think about how they talk to their kids.

Lawrence says, it's important for parents to look for dangerous habits such as skipping meals and adds, society puts a lot of pressure on kids and even bullying in schools.

"It's become prevalent at younger and younger ages we are seeing it starting out at elementary school even, if you hear your child say I'm feeling fat, my belly is so fat, my thighs are fat, my legs are fat then that's a red flag," says Tami Lawrence, Clinical Dietitian at Trinity Mother Frances.
