AARP says Obama erred on endorsement claim

Associated Press
August 12, 2009 - 5:03pm

WASHINGTON (AP) - A group usually seen as a White House ally in the health care debate says the president went too far yesterday when he said the seniors' lobby had endorsed the legislation pending in Congress.

At the town hall in Portsmouth, N.H., President Barack Obama said, "We have the AARP onboard because they know this is a good deal for our seniors."

But AARP's chief operating officer says the group hasn't endorsed "any" of the major health care reform bills.

Meanwhile, the nation's largest business group starts airing TV spots today criticizing the plan. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce ads talk about "big tax increases" and "huge deficits" and show a balloon being inflated until it bursts.

The multimillion-dollar ad buy would be the largest so far that's critical of Obama's effort, in a year when opponents have been heavily outspent by supporter's of the president's plan.

"Barry" is keeping his promise to "change" government; he is changing government alright! A "change" can be good as well as bad; all along the words he spoke were what we wanted to hear, believing his every word of change to realize now that all those promises for a better government was not for our besty interest but for the best interest of the government. Americans believed the promised lies spoken words as now seeing actions shouting out be careful what you wish for because it just might come true - our wishes for a change has come true ! Sheriff Joe Apraio, Arizona law enforcement officer, has proved actions speak louder than words but told to "change" his tactics when it comes to illegal immigration enforcement as told by the former Governor of Arizono, now Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano profiling is a crime and not part of his job. He upholds the law, respects the law and stands up for upholding the legal system; he is giving America back to Americans;

I sent a letter to AARP last wk, telling them my membership would stop because of this 'ERR". I do not want any part of a grp. that would sell me out like that.
But, it is typical of Barry to tell another lie.He is good at that.
He is a huge contributing factor of what is so wrong with our country right now.
The answer to his birth right will come IF he decides to run again. He will have to produce then
