Do you think health care coverage in America should be a basic right for
every citizen?
Last year when I could afford health insurance for my family I was shelling out almost $500 for just me and $321 for my 2 boys. Around Jan. I just couldnt pay it anymore. So we are all uncovered. Mine was so much because of a group policy I had to be on because BCBS wouldnt cover me due to Post partum depression that lasted 2 years. My husband changed jobs so now he and I no longer have coverage either. I dont think its fair these people get this crap handed to them. My kids deserve to go to the dentist just like everyone elses. They dont eat alot of junk because I know if they get cavities...I CANT PAY to have it fixed. I can barely afford to buy my sons school supplies this year let alone health insurance. The government did this to us so I think they should fix it...plain and simple.

7 months agoALL THE ILLEGALS AND THE MINORITIES GET MOST EVERYTHING FOR FREE AS IT IS,AND WE PAY FOR IT OUT OF OUR POCKETS.THE OTHER DAY I WAS BEHIND A LADY THAT HAD A CART FULL OF GROCERIES,WHILE I WAS STANDING THERE WITH JUST A FEW ITEMS,BECAUSE I STILL NEEDED TO PUT GAS IN MY TRUCK,SHE HAD 4 KIDS,MOST LIKELY FROM DIFFERENT FATHERS,IF SHE EVEN KNOWS WHICH ONE,THEN SHE PULLED OUT THE "FREE FOOD FOR NON-WORKERS" CARD AND RACKED UP ABOUT 200.00 DOLLARS WORTH OF GROCERIES.THEN SHE WENT OUT AND GOT INTO HER BRAND NEW ESCALADE,WITH WHEELS AND TIRES THAT PROBABLY COST AS MUCH AS MY TRUCK,AND WHILE THE GROCERY GUY WAS PUTTING THE STUFF IN HER TRUCK,THE KIDS WERE WATCHING ANY ONE OF ABOUT 5 DVD SCREENS IN THE TRUCK....YEAH,WE NEED MORE OF THIS,FUELED BY GOVERNMENT CONTROL....I STILL BELIEVE THE OLD SAYING="ABOLISH ORGANIZED CRIME..DO AWAY WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!"

8 months agoEvery citizen should be offered affordable health care. The Illegals should have to pay for their own or there should be consquences. They get too much for free that is why our country is going down the drain and our economy is in the shape it is in. Citizens should be helped first.

8 months agoFirst let me say that I am an American citizen that dose not have health insurance. Do I think the Government should give me insurance or require me to have it. No I do not. I just had a baby in April and I paid my doctor around $2,400.00. I delivered at ETMC and if you pay your bill before you deliver it is $3,200.00. I had both my doctor and ETMC paid before I had my daughter. I stopped spending unnecessary money and did what had to be done. I think it is sad that so many Americans think that the government owes them something. The thing is people, the government dose not pay for anything we pay the bill. Do I think health care in this country is out of control yes I do but that is because so many people use the emergency rooms as doctors offices and they don’t pay the bill. If you don’t pay your bill then I have to and others that pay their bills. I also do not think small business should have to pay for their employees to have the government insurance. If this bill passes and small business have to pay for the insurance many more people will be out a job. Government is anti small business.

8 months agoIt is. But handing it over to the government to run doesn't give everyone access. It gives the government control. OUr for fathers fought for a government of the people, by the people and for the people. They didn't want a big government. Our nation is in huge danger of losing it's freedoms. You'd be suprised at the things our government is doing that is straight from the Communist Manifesto. Don't believe me? Look it up for yourself.

8 months agoWe, as citizens, are guaranteed three rights - Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. How you arrive at government sponsored health care being a right, to citizens and non-citizens, is way above me. And I do have a post-graduate degree.

8 months agoYes. LEGAL CITIZENS should be offered affordable healthcare. If Illegals are going to receive healtcare, at least make them pay for insurance. It is a drain on the healthcare system for them to be given care at the expense of the Legal Citizens. Yet many times, they go into our hospitals or emergency rooms and are taken care of and never pay a dime! Some citizens cannot afford to get sick and for that reason would not even go to the hospital.

8 months agoIt should be available to CITIZENS of this country, yes. Affordable would be great, but what we really need to do to get costs under control is to stop paying for illegal immigrants to have anchor babies in our country. Citizens are paying for the illegal and neglectful activities.
