Do you think too much taxpayer money is spent on teaching children who don't speak english?
Do ESL classes work?
And are there other alternatives out there with a better track record?
To pay their penance to society, it should be required of illegals seeking citizenship to teach ESL with, rather than monetary compensation for their efforts, the provision of citizenship consideration. Only upon successfully educating the new English speaking Americans and advocating for the extinction of Spanish as a formal language of the United States should citizenship be considered and only provisionally. Citizenship should not be guaranteed for law breakers however and in some cases deportation should be required.

It is more costly than an ESL formal education in the whole scheme of things. We want people who can contribute to our national independance and futrue heritage.
It's not them against us. It's for all of us and for future generations. Get It?

3 weeks agowee shud spent les money on teeching amercan langage to spansh peeple becuase it is they're duty to lern to speek and right amercan languag like ever one eles does.
At church my preecher say that if you are no speeking american then God does not love you because you don't fit in...and I think he is rite!!!

2 weeks agoI listen to the calls some of these people made on regards to biligual education costing too much. It shows how arrogant they are. Im hispanic and my whole family are american citizens even my parents that were born in Mexico. I do not care how much you dislike this. We are all here to stay get that? Stay! And just like you americans we pay taxes. We have learned the anguage and do pretty much the same as american families do. Like you say "mexicans should learn english because this is America" that is right but if you cut out the bilingual programs tell me how do you want those non english people to learn english? think about your words and how to solve this problem in a way that that is not offending. We work just as hard as americans do. Maybe we are not college grads yet but we sure know how to follow directions. Example many illegal immigrants work in construction they don't speak a word of english but yet they lay down roads, consturt bridges and make the foundation to you brand new homes. Think that about americans just shut up and think.

1 month agoTexas should continue having the bilingual program. I am hispanic my parents come from Mexico and we are legal citizens! We are here and here to stay, get that? Stay! We need the bilingual programs in our schools one way or another. As many, many american people have said to me, to my face "mexicans should learn the language" but if you do not want to pay taxes for hispanic children learn the language it is not going to happen. Its impossible to get hispanic people out of this country leagal or not leagal. I do not care how much you dislike this situation because just like you americans my family pays taxes. If you consider this to be the best,free country, the nation that helps others in times of disaster you should not make an issue.

1 month agoI have a daughter unmarried with four children and she gets back of the line privileges behind the illegals, because her welfare is state supported and not on the fed dime. She is turned down or they lose her paperwork, why you ask? Because she is white. So hombre where is the prejudice being pointed these days?
