Goodyear announces more job cuts

AKRON, Ohio - Goodyear Tire and Rubber representatives say they are cutting another 5,000 jobs this year.
This morning, the Akron, Ohio, based tire maker posted a loss of $330 million for the fourth quarter of 2008.
During the announcement, Goodyear reps also said they plan to cut 5,000 jobs in the coming year. Those cuts are on top of the 4,000 jobs eliminated in 2008.
The thing is the people need thier jobs so instead of cutting jobs why don't they put the people in another position and give them a small cut in pay cause someone now adays would rather take a cut in pay then lose a job.
