Is Texting Bad For Your Health?

March 18, 2009 - 4:44pm

The thumb is becoming the choice of teens and the 20-something crowd, who seem to prefer texting over talking.

But, their handheld habits may have triggered a wave of health warnings and predictions.

They call it "blackberry thumbs" or "twitter tendonitis."

And if the headlines hold true, the thumb texting of today's handheld generation are facing a future of hi-tech hurt.

But, early evidence suggests, the dominant digit is changing and getting bigger.

Experts says, "They do have really strong thumbs from what I understand, and from what the research has shown."

Researchers say, only time will tell if those younger stronger thumbs are better suited for rapid texting.
