Obama Pushes Health Care Plan at University of Maryland

September 17, 2009 - 8:37am

UNDATED—Thursday President Obama makes his case for health care reform at the University of Maryland.

The President will speak to university students on the campus outside of Washington, D.C. The speech comes one day after Finance Committee Chairman, Senator Max Baucus, released his health care plan.

The plan under Sen. Baucus would cover thirty million Americans not currently insured and cut the ten-year deficit by $50 billion. However, some democrats like Rep. Anthony Weiner, say they want the Baucus plan to fail because there are too many concessions.

"Bipartisanship on health care reform is the political equivalent of a child looking for a unicorn," said the Democratic Representative from New York.

As NBC's Brooke Hart reports, Thursday the President will turn to winning support from young adults.

If obomee got paid as a saleperson for selling the health care package, he would have already starved to death.
