Nowitzki misses another game

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Dirk Nowitzki's ailing right knee will keep
him out of another game for the Dallas Mavericks.

Nowitzki sprained his knee in the second quarter of a 103-93
victory at Oklahoma City on Dec. 27. He came up limping after
falling awkwardly when he was fouled.

Coach Rick Carlisle said Nowitzki is showing signs of progress
and continues to be day to day. But he was held out of Wednesday
night's game at the Indiana Pacers.

Nowitzki is averaging 24.1 points and 7.4 rebounds, and the
Mavericks were 2-5 without him this season before the game against
Indiana.
