LUFKIN — Lufkin Police are on the scene of what is believed to be the accidental shooting of a 78-year-old woman by her 91-year-old husband in the Stonewood Drive mobile home community off FM 58.

According to The Lufkin Daily News, the woman was taken to Memorial Medical Center-Lufkin with a gunshot wound to the shoulder and was conscious and alert.

Police are still on the scene investigating.
